I took a positive pregnancy test 24 days after my LMP which was 13 days after I conceived my twins. It is definitely easier to detect your pregnancy early if you have a high hcg level, which is the case with twins :)

I recently found out that my husband and I are expecting our second child and couldn't be more thrilled! I'm starting to wonder if maybe it is more than one. With my first son when I took a home test the line was so faint as to barely even be there. We played the guessing game for a while before finally buying a digital test. This time I tested the same time, the day my period was due, and I got a very fast very dark positive. There is no chance I could be further then expected because I have been testing monthly. Also, I am LOADS more tired than last time. Granted I am chasing a two year old around, but it is literally debilitating. Any thoughts, and what were your first clues it was more than one?

I am 14 weeks pregnant with twins, and for me it seemed that everything was happening a lot faster than everyone said that it was supposed to. I found out that I was pregnant due to food aversions. At 14 weeks I am nicely showing and my doctor is surprised. I never really had morning sickness but I had a horrible time with smells and food aversions starting at 6 weeks when I found out that I was having twins!

do u know when you ovulate? if not you'll need to figure out when you ovulate but not every women ovulates @ the normal 2 wks after the start of their cycle and even w/a regular cycle women can ovulate @ diff times every month. if you start to feeling very wet (watery/eggwhite CM) you're in your most fertile window so have sex! if you're having more and more creamy Cm then start having sex every other day. sperm stays in your cervix up to 6 days max in ideal conditions. i use fertilityfriend.com. it tracks BBT, cm, ur cervix and everything in between. it'll take 2 cycles to figure it out but at least it won't be a guessing game. it's a great tool! don't have sex every day as that lowers sperm count - every other day is good :) also if you do need to use lubricant make sure it's sperm friendly as most aren't. i use pre-seed :) try the digital OPK's so you get a smiley face instead of trying to figure out the colors

Take prenatal vitamins or multivitamin and folic acid suppliment. Make sure you are eating a balanced diet and not drinking, etc.

Then, after you have sex, put your legs in the air. It sounds funny, but it's an old school trick. You're employing gravity to pull the semen where it needs to go.

I did this after stopping birth control in July of 03 and had a positive pregnancy test in my hand on August 27th, 03. My grandmother told me she did this to get pregnant twice and found it helps speed things up.

As for knowing when you're pregnant, I'm stumped, 'cause I don't know how to tell either.

I'm 19, engaged, and relatively healthy.

I had gotten pregnant in September, and after about two days of celebrating, I found out I was having a miscarriage. Unknowingly, I was 7 weeks pregnant. I have a blood type that I share with only 6% of America's population, and unfortunately one of those 6% was not my child. (s)he had a positive blood type, I have a negative. My body saw this as a threat and destroyed the tiny cell of a child.

I was devastated, and over October, grieved and healed. It wasn't something I could have prevented, unfortunately. And I was given a shot to prevent it from happening again.

I don't have regular periods, per se. I have them at the end of the current month, or the beginning of the next month. It's hard to tell sometimes, because I always forget to mentally note when it started.

But, back to my original question.
Any tips on getting pregnant? My fiancée and I have agreed we'd like to try.

firstly i would like to say how sorry i am about your loss i know exactly how u feel after having the same thing , im currently 33 weeks pregnant with a girl and have blood type b negative. i tried to get pregnant for a year after my loss and i eventually gave up trying after constant negative tests i couldnt take it anymore , it seems with me taking off the stress of trying and just enjoying myself and enjoying been intimate with my partner without any pressure seemed to work as 2 month after we stopped trying we concieved. i would recoment taking folic acid and leaving the rest to nature , if you do get a positive test book strait in to your doctors and take care in preganacy and knocks or bumps to your stomach go strait to maternity assesment for a anti-d injection (this stops your blood attacking the baby). they will also give you this injection at certain weeks to avoid your blood harming your baby,seems to work 2 xx good luck

I am infertile and i have given birth to a beautiful baby girl. Me and my husband tried for years to get pregnant before and even after i found out i was infertile. Although i knew i was infertile i also knew i still had to fight for even a 0.1% chance of getting pregnant. We tried for about 5 years to get pregnant but month after month we faced the neverending pregnancy tests. We knew we were probably never going to get pregnant because every doctor ive ever visited said I was infertile but I still wanted to try because we were desperate for a baby and we wanted to start a family more than anything. Nigerian 'baby factory' raided, 32 teenage girls freed

LAGOS (AFP) â Nigerian police have raided a home allegedly being used to force teenage girls to have babies that were then offered for sale for trafficking or other purposes, authorities said on Wednesday.
"We stormed the premises of the Cross Foundation in Aba three days ago following a report that pregnant girls aged between 15 and 17 are being made to make babies for the proprietor," said Bala Hassan, police commissioner for Abia state in the country's southeast.
"We rescued 32 pregnant girls and arrested the proprietor who is undergoing interrogation over allegations that he normally sells the babies to people who may use them for rituals or other purposes."
Some of the girls told police they had been offered to sell their babies for between 25,000 and 30,000 naira (192 dollars) depending on the sex of the baby.
The babies would then be sold to buyers for anything from 300,000 naira to one million naira (1,920 and 6,400 dollars) each, according to a state agency fighting human trafficking in Nigeria, the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP).
The girls were expected to be transferred to the regional NAPTIP offices in Enugu on Wednesday, the regional head Ijeoma Okoronkwo told AFP.
Hassan said the owner of the "illegal baby factory" is likely to face child abuse and human trafficking charges. Buying or selling of babies is illegal in Nigeria and can carry a 14-year jail term.
"We have so many cases going on in court right now," said Okoronkwo.
In 2008, police raids revealed an alleged network of such clinics, dubbed baby "farms" or "factories" in the local press.
Cases of child abuse and people trafficking are common in West Africa. Some children are bought from their families to for use as labour in plantations, mines, factories or as domestic help.
Others are sold into prostitution while a few are either killed or tortured in black magic rituals. NAPTIP says it has also seen a trend of illegal adoption.
"There is a problem of illict adoption and people not knowing the right way to adopt children," said Okoronkwo.
Human trafficking is ranked the third most common crime after economic fraud and drug trafficking in the country, according to UNESCO.

Heres ones I've gotten from other women and found out for myself

1. This one I just found out tonite from another mommy to be. Lotion in the fridge. It cools you down and soothes itchy skin

2. Lemon water is a natural diuretic (to relieve fluid retention!)

3. Peppermints help stave off heartburn when you don't have antacids. But always keep your antacids next to your bed when your sleeping with a glass of water.

4. When sending out invites to your baby shower let people know that their name will be entered into a drawing to win a gift card if they use the registery(that way more people will use the registery!)

5. Chewing gum is supposed to help nausea also. And peppermints or peppermint tea.

Any other women have some tips? Any little thing can help. Some women said to snack also in the first trimester because it helps with nausea.

My sister in law did and I have heard that it can happen. There are always those stories of women who say - I got pregnant during breastfeeding! Also, think of the women with a 1 yr old and a new baby ;) It certainly can happen. BF tends to slow down the return of ovulation, but it's just not a guarantee. All women are different. Just like some women don't get their first period after baby for 6 months, there are women like myself who get their first one one month later like clockwork. What it boils down to is that you CAN get pregnant while BF and of course if you don't want to - then use methods to control it.

Some doctors will let you try. If twin "A" is in the correct position, they will usually allow it. The trouble comes with twin "B". If he's breach, they'll have to do an emergency c-section. Trust me, you DO NOT want to be in labor all day, deliver one baby, and then go in for a c-section. That's double the pain! Recovering from natural childbirth AND a c-section is not something you're going to want to deal with, especially with twins. This is why most doctors will schedule a c-section, so that both twins come out fine and neither will be in any distress. Talk to your doctor. Maybe you two can agree on a plan that works for both of you.

Glad to hear you're doing so well.
I started to show with the girls when I was about 22 weeks along and that's when I kinda started to feel them properly kick too. This was the stage when I couldn't sleep on my front anymore, it was uncomfortable 'cause they both seemed to kick MORE!!! And it got so annoying! lol. Can't really blame them though, I can imagine the lack of room they had as it was - without me squishing them too. I 1st felt them when I was 16 weeks, but it just felt like little flicks.
And I could never really tell which one was actually kicking me. lol
My younger twin was more active than her sister though.

I had severe morning sickness, so bad - I ended up losing half a stone. It lasted till I was about 6 months along. And even now, after 2 years of giving birth to them, I still can't stand to eat chicken wings! Or any kind of chicken that's still on the bone!

My labour and birth was very easy going, I had the epidural (of course! lol) I was only 3cm dilated when I cried for it. And I have to say how fantastic it was!!!
I tore a little bit when my 1st daughter came out (I needed stitches, but they healed after a week) 7 minutes later, my 2nd daughter was born. She came out not breathing, but they didn't bother to tell me that until they got her breathing again!
Even if one of my twins were breech, I still would have refused a c-section and gone for natural. As I wanted to be up and walking about. I couldn't really afford to sit and rest when I had 2 babies to look after. Obviously some people can't help having a c-section. But if you don't need it - don't have it.

But I want to say good luck to you, as I know how hard twins can be. Especially newborns. And as they were my 1st children, once I had my 3rd baby, I couldn't believe how easy it was to just deal with one! lol
But I know you have another child. The only advice I can really think of is (depending how old your child is) to try and get him/her involved with the twins as much as possible, just so he won't feel left out so much. Because you're going to be VERY busy with the twins once they're here.
Just try and get as much help from family and friends as possible. Otherwise you'll be dead on your feet. And I know how that feels - not nice!

It can be fun (and expensive!) buying 2 of everything. But I'll tell what item I did not need and which I think is a waste of money & space. A moses basket!
I personally wouldn't bother. Not only do they grow out of it in a few months, which you'll then have to get rid of them (or store them away, which ever you want) some babies have a problem with going from moses basket to cot. And I don't think it's worth the hassle - well, double the hassle in your case! lol
Both my daughters went in a cotbed, 1st day I brought them home from hospital. They slept side by side, until they got too big - by which point I kind of top & tailed them (feet at each end of the cotbed) and then once they too big for that (which was when they reached about 6 months old) I put them in their own cotbeds, in their own room.
I did have trouble with them for a few days, as it was new to them, but they soon settled.

Pregnant with twin girls but wanted boys.?

Okay I know the first thing everyone is thinking be lucky you are having kids. That is already set in my mind. My husbands family is really rude and I can't stand his sister or his sister in law..I really dislike them both with a passion. They never have anything positive to say to anyone about anything. I wanted twin boys and I have twin girl (well will be having) is it bad to feel the feeling of depression because you didnt get what you wanted? LIke i said before my husbands sister and sister in law are all rubbing it in my face of haha you have girls and you wanted boys. I am to the point that I dont even talk to them anymore. What should I do. I am very greatful that I am having kids. I just dont want my kids to grow up and at the age of 16 tell me they are pregnant. It is normal to feel like this. It is really bothering.

Okay 1st of all, how do you know they will get pregnant at 16? You don't. Its really unfair of you to assume that they will. No mother wants their daughter to get pregnant at 16. And if they did, you deal with it. Just like you deal with this depression that your daughters are causing you. They aren't even born yet and you are blaming them for your grief over the fact that they aren't boys.

Its not their fault that they are girls. And I think its ridiculous for you to be so upset over this.

If you really are grateful, then love the fact that you are having girls.

But more so, hope that you have healthy babies and stop obsessing over the fact that they are girls.

I have a lot of questions about kpop idols, and I was hoping I could get some answers >< cause I'm not finding any that make sense...


1. What do Idols eat? I looked up some of their "diets" which were like 1200 calories or less a day, and I was thinking that was impossible, because they'd all be DEAD. like seriously, with all the dancing they do + that diet, they'd weigh SO much less than their "profiles."

2. Do they lie about their weight? a lot of idols profiles say they weigh between 40 - 50kg, but in pictures they look bigger, (trust me, I am 5"6 -170cm- and weigh 109lbs (49kg) and I look thinner than SNSD Sooyoung who's the same height but supposedly weighs only 99lbs).

3. is 50kg considered too fat in idol standards?

4. How much photo shop is used and where?

5. Do idols ever smoke or drink?

6. Which idols have gotten surgery?

7. Is Jessica Jung considered pretty in Korea? because people keep telling me I look like her, and I dont know whether to take it as a compliment or insult.... (woah that sounds rude of me but idk how else to word it)

8. Do SNSD and SHINee get a long as friends? I'm asking these questions on behalf of my best friend. KPOP is SERIOUSLY ruining her life. she thinks she has to be a certain way, even though I keep telling her she's perfect. I think she needs to understand the REALITY, and understand that Kpop idols are HUMAN TOO!

1.) They do not eat 1200 calories a day. SNSD Yuri actually revealed that she was surprised when neitizens claimed that idols at only 1200 calories a day. They eat much more than that, it's just that all that extreme training/practicing/singing/dancing and whatnot burns all the calories off faster than a normal person's life. Also, the idols go at least 3 times a week to the gym to burn off some fat.
2.) They do not lie about their weight. SNSD Sooyoung is actually in reality much thinner than TV, because it is proven that the television screen makes people look 1.5 times wider. And also, SooYoung is probably the thinnest idol I know.
3.) It depends. If people see that you're chubby and you way 50 kg, (Maybe ShinDong? XD) Then you are considered fat, but as you know, muscle weighs more than fat.
4.) Photoshop is used in album jacket photoshoots (duh?) and in photoshoots like Fashion King, etc. Not a lot of Photoshop is used. They just try to make the artists look bettter
5.) No, not smoking. Idols are supposed to represent Korea's teen's and youths, which is why if idols ever smoked, that would be on the newspapers immediately. But idols do indeed drink, at their dorms, to relieve their stress and stuff like that.
6.) Practically every idol has gotten very minor surgeries to make their noses look taller, or their eyes closer together, or to define their chin more.
7.) Yes, but more so in China.
8.) SNSD have never really associated themselves with fellow SM artists, according to SMTOWN MBC Come and Play, where SNSD describes how they don't try to get friendly with fellow SMTOWN members. The reason SHINee was mad is unknown. O.O
9.) They probably shout or scold them if they make a mistake, but abuse? No. Those "slave" contract rumors are not true.
10.) None. They are not allowed to date.
11.) THEY CAN EAT ANYTHING THEY WANT WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE THESE DAYS! THEY JUST BURN OFF ALL THE FAT DURING PRACTICE AND GYM SESSIONS. IF THEY DONT EAT CAKE, THE REASON IF PROBABLY BECAUSE THEY WANT TO KEEP IN SHAPE BUT THEY DONT WANT TO GO TO THE GYM BECAUSE OF OTHER SCHEDULES!!!!! God.
12.) SNSD in general isn't considered bitchy, but Tiffany in SNSD is considered very bitchy by SONEs and Anti-Soshis. She makes mistakes and she doesn't realize she made a mistake. She called Jun Jin sunbae's voice a goat voice, and had to apologize 2 days after because SM forced her so it did not ruin her image.
13.) There are some cases where they do write back, but usually they are too busy to even check their mail. But apparently TaeYeon answered over 9000 UFOs sent to her.
Kpop idols are indeed human. If you type Kpop idol mistakes on Google, so many videos are uploaded. Is your friend a SM trainee? O.O

Breast feeding is making me crazy. Why is my baby doing this?!?

I have a 6 wk old little girl who is about to drive her mama mad. I want to cry all the time. She feeds, then falls asleep, feeds, falls asleep, feeds, seems content, I unlatch her and WHAAAAA!!!!!!! etc etc etc. Today this has gone on for hours, right now I'm going on this "on and off" cycle for 2 hours. I can't eat, I can't put her down. I tried to let her cry for a minute and she cried so hard her face turned red and she had tears, I wanted to ball my eyes out. I know I'm making milk bc she's gaining weight quickly and goes through 8 -10 diapers a day. I do all the stuff people say, I undress her or change her diaper before feeding, I tickle her feet, I try stimulating her with a cold or wet cloth and nothing works! How do I feed her until she's content?!?! I can't keep her on my boob 24/7!

Don't give up and don't supplement. I know it's frustrating. I've been there, but you are doing something amazing for your daughter and this will not last forever. 6 weeks is prime time growth spurt age where babies nurse all the time and it's normal for newborns to nod off while nursing. My son did the exact same thing as a newborn and I made it through his first year of life (still nursing him at 16 months) without ever supplementing with formula. He would nurse for a minute and fall asleep, and as soon as I laid him down, he would scream. I felt like a prisoner stuck in one spot holding him while he slept and nursing him if he woke up.

So how did I make it exclusively breastfeeding? I bought a baby carrier. This thing will become your new best friend. It is a God send! Don't buy one of those cheap, soft structured baby carriers from Wal-mart. It is worth the investment to buy a good one. I like ring slings or a brand like Ergo, Beco, or Boba with a removable newborn insert, because you can nurse while you carry your baby. That way, you at least won't be stuck sitting in a rocking chair or sitting on the couch. You can do some house work, eat, go for a walk, meet a friend and your baby is content being close to you, you can nurse her discreetly, and she can sleep in it.

There are many herbal and vitamin supplements available for both you and your girlfriend..the woman takes some to help boost her fertility and you take them to help boost your sperm count and sperm flow...ill post the links for some...also know that otc lubricants such as ky and others are known to kill sperm instead try a natural lubricant such as egg white--this is doctor reccamended....also tell her to track her periods so she knows when shes ovulating--buy a basal body thermometer and check her temp every morning before she gets out of bed(your temp is usually higher when you are ovulating)and buy ovulation kits--also try progesterone cream available at walmart or any drugstore rub a 1/2 teaspoon 2 times a day when ovulation starts to when you start your period and this will help prolonge your ovulation time and raise your temp--put it on bottoms of feet palms od hands behind knees under arms stomach and breats.Another thing to try is sexual positions--sperm flows better when youre in missionary style--try putting a pillow under her in this position and tell her to lay still atleast 30 minutes after you have ejaculated...make sure to avoid positions such a woman on top or standing up as this messes uop sperm flow.anyways hope ive helped you some...as i said here are the links below.good luck.

1. Say hi to the person sitting next to you in each of your classes.
2. Go in with a positive attitude
3. Get to know your teacher's school emails so you can submit papers, ask questions etc.
4. Don't be embarrassed or afraid to raise your hand to ask questions.
5. If you fall behind make sure you get help right away because then you will fall so far behind you'll have a hard time getting back on track.
6. Buy a whiteboard/ cork-board for your room or one of those wipe off wall stickers, and write down the due dates of assignments, long term projects, extended homework, group work, trips anything important.
7. Buy a mini whiteboard for your locker or a few magnets and write down the same things.
8. If you have no one to sit with at lunch sit alone, someone will come over to you :)
9. Get the phone number of someone in each of your classes for homework etc.
10. Take notes.
11. Keep your notes organized!!!!

12. You don't need a boyfriend to make you happy.
13. Don't ever lose a friend over a boy.

Well, I would suggest that don't be to conscious about it just relax and before going to check the doctor check out some useful tips I am giving you because I also face the same situation & struggled around 14 years but at the end I get desire result. So, just relax you still can get pregnant.

Anyone have Tips on getting pregnant with a tilted uterus?

I have always known i had a tilted uterus (tilted towards the back) But when i talked to my dr about getting pregnant he said we should have no problems.. and never mentioned anything about my uterus. My husband and I have been trying for 13 months now going on 14! I will be going back to the dr in a few months and i have read all kinds of things about having a tilted uterus and getting pregnant! I hear its harder! Anyone have any good tips on getting pregnant with a tilted uterus? I have tried Laying on my stomach with my butt in the air after sex instead of on my back.. but no luck! any suggestions would be nice! thanks!

Can a tilted uterus cause infertility?

The medical term for a tipped uterus is "retroverted" (tilted backward) or "anteverted" (tilted forward). Neither position really affects fertility.


Most women have a slightly anteverted uterus that is flexed toward the bladder; about one in four or five women have a retroverted uterus, tilted toward the spine. Neither uterine position would, in and of itself, interfere with fertility.


Some women may have a retroverted uterus associated with endometriosis or pelvic inflammatory disease. In both cases, scar tissue could interfere with the normal movement of the egg through the fallopian tubes to the uterus, thus decreasing the chance of getting pregnant by preventing the egg from reaching the sperm.

I'm with everyone else. What is wrong about having sex with your husband? What morals does that go against? Part of the reason to get married is to have sex without sinning.

As for getting pregnant without having sex, yes you can use a turkey baster. You could actually wipe a little semen in your vagina and it will carry itself on in. But less effectively.

I got pregnant using the turkey baster approach. I used a 10ml syringe ( without the needle) cut of the nozzle or the protruding part. Without the nozzle you can insert it deeper. Once you have the fresh semen into the syringe, hold it upright and push it to remove any air bubbles. Don't worry if you spill some there are millions of sperms even in a small sample. Lie down on your back with your legs high and insert your syringe till your comfortable and let the semen in. Hold your position for about 20 min.

I tried it for 10 months before getting pregnant and some learnings are 1. timing is important start a couple of days before your ovulation day and continue for 2 days after, so that you don't miss the day. in my case i was low on the FSH hormone, and consulted a doc only after failing a couple of attempts. So if you are not seeing results it would be good idea to see a doc and get some tests done.
