One item was a rubber band and there was something about stretching and bouncing back, and the corresponding Bible verse that went with it... there was also a Band-Aid and it was about patching things up and healing wrongdoings, etc. Where can I find how to make it?
Answer
I know the survival kit you need, but haven't yet found one with Bible verses -
--- most are geared toward mothers, though, so you can adapt -
On the inside put: a Starburst candy; a Hugs candy; a band-aid; a mini eraser; a puzzle piece; and a shiny penny. Attach a note that says: Sunday School Teachers Survival Kit - included in this box are items that will give you a little boost when you need it the most. A Starburst candy to give you a burst of energy when you are running on empty. A Hugs candy to let you know that a hug really can make a world a whole lot brighter. A band-aid for when the going gets rough. An eraser to remind you that Jesus has already erased even our largest mistakes. A puzzle piece to remind you that life as well as learning is a puzzle that should be handled with care. A shiny penny to remind you that each of your students will shine in their own special way. Here's a more generic one that can be used with volunteers and other non-teachers: You can decorate the tin the same way you did before, but change the contents to include: a mini eraser, a magnet, a marble, a penny, a rubber band, a piece of string, a Hugs candy, and a Kiss candy. Attach a little note that says Make Today Your Day Kit - included in this box are items that will help you live today and every day to it's fullest extent, as we were meant to live it. An eraser to remind you that Jesus has already wiped all your mistakes away. A magnet to help you pull love your way. A marble so that no one can ever say that you've lost your marbles. A penny so that you will never be broke. A rubber band to remind you that with Jesus you can stretch beyond your expectations. A piece of string to tie you and Jesus together in all parts of your life. A hug and a kiss to make your day as good as new, and to remind you that love makes the world go round.

Any baby shower ideas? ?
*(* Mz. Ho
My best friend aka (Sister-4-Life) is having a baby due in April...she's a teen mother, and we as her bestest friends are planning to give her a "surprise" baby shower. However we need more ideas...I have few planned here they are...
1. Select a theme for the shower....she likes Bratz and she is 15.....
2. Create your own decorations. place a framed photo of the parents-to-be on the gift table for a personal touch. Be sure to provide the mother-to-be with her own special chair next to the gifts and mark it by tying Balloons at the entrance.
4.Make a memorable centerpiece, Diaper cake or A stuffed animal in a basket with baby stuff surrounding it.
5.Decide on the menu. It can simply be cake and punch, chicken wings, Finger foods, sandwiches, fruit or fresh vegetable tray, Nachos and dip, chips n dip, assorted cubed cheeses and crackers, chicken salad, cookies, deviled egges. pasta salad.
6.Plan a variety of games: Some more active games are "Baby Hot Potato" where you pass a baby doll around a circle while you play a lullaby. Whoever is holding the baby when the music stops is out. Keep going until one person is left. Or "Diaper a Doll while Blind-folded." All you need is a doll, a diaper and safety pins and a dark blind-fold. "Baby Bottle Drink-off" is a hilarious game."
7.Gift Ideas for the mommy-to-be a thermometer, pacifiers, bottle, formula, liners (depending on the bottles preferred by mom), nail clipper kit, washcloths, hair brush and comb, travel bag dispenser that gives you a small bag to put dirty diapers into, a new outfit, burp cloth, nasal aspirator, a few diapers, and wipes. Johnson&Johnson also makes a take along pack that has travel size sampling of shampoo, desitin, lotion, powder, baby wash, and a soothing naturals nourishing lotion. Photo Album.
Make a coupon book good for:
â¢Whenever you need a baby sitter
â¢1 afternoon babysitting
â¢1 evening babysitting
â¢1 afternoon of errand-running
Baby tree- Make something that could hold money for the new born baby
What do you all think, are there anymore ideas for the theme, food, decorations, and how to set it up well for the surprise. I was thinking of holding it at our school in the commons area. Over by that way its a cafeteria where she can go and she will not see anything. That way they can make their way down that trail and then she will open her eyes and see what we have planned.
Answer
I like baby animal themes - then there is a lot of room for you to make your own games, decorations. there is also a guessing game where everyone guesses how big around they think the mother-to-be is at the largest part of her belly. I'm giving you a link below that has lots more baby shower ideas (even recipes for food and stuff).
