I skip months at a time..I was taking birth control to regulate it but then I got off it and my period went right back to being irregular. Do you think I'll have a difficult time getting pregnant?

I'm not trying to conceive yet btw but I'm just wondering if you have any tips or what your opinions are. Thanks!

In my experience - extremely hard. I saw a spacialist and underwent various forms of fertility treatments and it took 4 years with my first (i do not have pcos, am not overweight, premenopausal or have any known condition).

I did however fall pregnant naturally and have a 2 year old son. I have been trying for 6 months with number 2 but have only had 2 or 3 periods in this time.

My advice is to start tracking everything well in advance so you might get a better idea of when you are ovulating when you do start trying.

I also bought the maybe baby ovulation tester but it doesnt seem to be doing me any good.

Good luck - i dont mean to scare you but it has certainly not been easy for me and i too have always had irregular cycles unless i was on the pill.

What are some tips on getting pregnant?

Here are some tips you can try: try taking Robitussin or mucinex the one that has the ingredient Guaifenesin in it ,with the mucinex it is the white and blue box you can get the generic brand at the dollar tree it is called Mucus Relief you start taking it 7days before you ovulate 1 pill every fours or as the directions say with the Robitussin you start taking the same as the mucinex and you take 2 to 3 teaspoons a day and what the Robitussin and mucinex does is that it helps thin out your cervical mucus so that the sperm can swim better and make it's way to your egg,and you should track when your fertile days are and when you ovulate and to do that you can use ovulation/fertile calendars this is the one I like and use http://www.fertilitygal.com/my-fertilitygal.htm it's a free site all you do is put in your info and it will show you when your fertile and when you should ovulate, now when you get close to your fertile days start tracking your cervical mucus when it becomes clear and looks like egg whites that's when you should start having intercourse every other day or every 36 hours. Plus you can use ovulation test or charting your Basel body temp to track ovulation and on the day you are ovulating you have intercourse too.I heard the best position when ttc are the missionary position and dogg style cause he's closer to you cervix plus when doing it in the missionary position they say to put couple of pillows under your butt cause it brings him even closer plus it helps to elavate your body so that the sperm can swim in the right directions plus it helps keep most of the semen it you. After ejaculation they say you should stay laying down for about 30 min to an hour so the semen stays in you longer so the sperm have a better chance to fertilize the egg, one lady said she laid there for 4 hours and the following month she found out she was pregnant!.Best of luck to you,Lots of baby dust your way!
