My boyfriend cums inside me before my period? & 8 days later I took a plan B, do you think I'm pregnant?

Jericka

I started my period April 1 and than I took a Plan B on the 8th of April, you think I'm pregnant? Plus my stomach is hurting, I'm confused and need help!

Answer
You could be pregnant, but it's unlikely since you had your period. But it doesn't matter what day of your cycle it is - having unprotected sex could always lead to pregnancy. If you want to avoid getting pregnant you need to use birth control every single time.

You should see a doctor and get checked out. Your stomach pain could be caused by the Plan B pill, or something completely unrelated.

Did you get pregnant on the pill?

Lulu Mae

Hi! I am taking the pill but I think there is a chance I could be pregnant. Not because I skipped a pill or anything, but because I have had headaches, sensitivity to smells, nausea, and backaches for the last week or so. I know the pill can cause pregnancy-like symptoms, so the best thing to do is wait (period is due in 3 days), but I was wondering if anyone has any stories of getting pregnant while on the pill with consistent use of it.

Thanks!

Answer
I got pregnant while I was on the pill. I was on Mircette (like or-tho try Cyclone lo). I started on it last october (after previously being on four other types, I have migraines with aura so it's basically trial and error for me) and became pregnant at the end of january.
I never missed a pill (having been on them for three years, it was like second nature to take it every night at 8), or was on any antibiotics. So it is possible to become pregnant on the pill. On the prescription it has the percentage of becoming pregnant with proper usage (every day at the same time, using other protection as well for the first week or so...).

loestrin 24 pill mistake pregnant?

shoot

i have been taking loestrin 24 for about 4-5 months now
last month when my pill pack ended and i was supposed to take the brown pills i accidentally took a white pill noticed my mistake and started to take the brown pills after it
while taking the brown pills i had unprotected sex
my period was extremely light barely any blood only a few drops but i have had brown discharge since not having my period
it is almost 2 weeks since not having my period
my boobs hurt and i am bloated
did taking an extra white pill cause pregnancy?
have not taken a pregnancy test and am not trying to get pregnant

Answer
The mistake that you made could have been the one and only mistake that you needed to get pregnant. Granted that birth control is not 100% effective so there is always that chance, you improved those chances by messing up.

If it isn't pregnancy then it could just be your body trying to adjust to your mix-up. The hormones and such. It also states in the facts about Loestrin 24 that it is different from most birth control pills in that you take 24 active pills instead of 21. Because of the hormones in the 3 extra white, active pill of the birth control, your period may last fewer days, and your uterine lining may not build up as much, so there may be less menstrual flow. It is clinically proven to shorten periods (averaging fewer than 3 days) and lighten periods (with less bleeding). You should have also developed a routine. This helps ensure a steady level of hormones to prevent pregnancy and breakthrough bleeding or spotting between periods. It also gets you into the habit of taking your pill regularly, because missing pills increases your risk of breakthrough bleeding or spotting between periods and unplanned pregnancy.

Now, the paragraph just before this one came pretty much from the official site, so it may be something you have already read. I read the fine print at the bottom of the page that said it could take up to 6 months for the pill to be really effective. You said you have only been on it for 4 months, so they aren't really effective at this point. I hate to say this, but you could be pregnant.

The bloating could be just simple as gas. Think about what you have eaten, if anything is new or anything that is really gassy. That could explain the bloating. Now with your boobs, if you aren't pregnant, then its just hormones. Continue to take the pill, and remember to take it on time.

As far the brown discharge sounds like old blood/spotting. This is something that could be from two things. Either your old blood from your very light period that you just had OR it was from Implantation bleeding.

Just to be on the safe side dear please take a pregnancy test. It would be best at determining rather you could be pregnant or not. If you don't believe the pee test get a blood test. Just know that if you are pregnant that there are options out there. If you aren't pregnant then remember remember REMEMBER to take the right pills on time. Good luck to you sweety!!!!!!

Is it possible to get pregnant using KY as a lubricant?

Melissa

My bf and I don't use protection, but every once in a while we'll use KY for fun... We do want a baby, but aren't "trying". It will happen when it happens. Is it still possible to get pregnant if we use KY as a lubricant? Please help... Thanks...
I have used PreSeed and didn't like it... It dries out to quickly...
Thanks for your responses! We are are trying to get pregnant, but without all of the stress of thinking about it. We just bd whenver we want and if it happens then great! I just wanted to make sure that KY doesn't hurt my chances. My bf and I don't like preseed that much... But I do know that on my fertile days, I don't even bother with KY because I produce enough EWCM.

Answer
Yes - although KY is not considered to be a "sperm-friendly" lubricant like Pre-Seed . . . it is not birth control. It may harm some of the sperm and impact their ability to get through to the egg - it impairs the motility / forward movement but does not kill the sperm . . . some will still have a good chance of getting there and many women do become pregnant using these types of lubricants.

If you are "actively" ttc, then you may want to switch to Pre-Seed or something like that . . . but otherwise, have fun and know that KY will not "prevent" pregnancy - it will make it harder, but it will not prevent.

Pregnant????????????

Alex

Me and my gf have had sex about 10 times in the last month. We have used a condom everytime which came with spermicidal lubricant. The pull- out method was also used with the condom. She isn't on birth control yet but is going to be soon. Her period should have came over the weekend and it hasn't. We are starting to worry that it won't. What do you think are the chances of her being pregnant are? Why would her period not come other than being pregnant? she says shes having discharge a watery discharge and she took online pregnancy tests and they said she is probably pregnant but I don't think those are very accurate

Answer
Well, you used two semi-effective contraceptives. The condom and the pulling out. Pulling out is about 20% effective if no condom... But unless the condom broke or wasn't manufactured properly, I bet you're both safe! But every condom goes through a series of test and only about 1-2% make it out that aren't good. As far as a late period... well that could be an array of things.

Stress, poor/better eating or diet, change is routine ex. exercising, being more or less active. also, a woman's cycle will change every so often. especially with this year being a leap year. that one day could have thrown her off balance in her mind. She might be thinking her period was supposed to come over the weekend... But because a new day added, it was like adding a whole week! the whole year has changed. And like I said, I woman's cycle will change. No woman can very well expect her period to come on the 3 of march every year until she goes into menopause! If her period was late.. go buy a cheap dollar store test, not sure if you're in the united states.. try a dollar store, or wal- mart! An online test goes off of statistics, not every woman for herself. And that is what you need. I tested with a dollar tree $1 test 3 days after I missed my period.. and I am 12 weeks pregnant! So invest in a test that is your best bet.

But on the other hand... I bet you're more than likely SAFE!

I'm 19 weeks pregnant with twin girls?

Melissa

I am wondering if anyone else is pregnant with twins or ever has been. These babies will be my 2nd and 3rd children and this is so new to me and there is so much i'm learning about twin pregnancy. I would love to hear your twin stories if you have any on how your pregnancy was to how the birth of your twins was.... Thanks

Answer
Hi. I´m 23 weeks with twin boys. I have had 2 previous miscarriages, and this is our first pregnancy to make it this far, so we´re really excited :D

My pregnancy had a lot of complications at first: I bled on and off for the entire first trimester (not always just pink spotting but sometimes bright red bleeding with clots--- thankfully everything turned out OK though). Also one twin´s sac was a lot smaller than the other and they basically told us that we would most likely lose that baby. He made it though and has more or less caught up to his brother. Because of those problems I was on bedrest for the first trimester and now they still tell me to take things really easy.

Otherwise my pregnancy has been great. My first trimester was awesome as far as symptoms go. I didn´t have many symptoms (just some fatigue, nausea and food aversions) and the nausea was really mild anyway, so I got off really easy there since they say twin pregnancies usually have more dramatic symptoms. I started feeling the babies move about 3 weeks ago but I think I felt them earlier and just didn´t realize it was them. I thought it was just muscle spasms and gas, lol. I think feeling them moving around in there has been my favorite part of the pregnancy thus far.

I agree with invisible pink--- it seems like they often will try to force you into a c-section and unless it´s medically necessary, I told my OB that I refuse. Also since twins are considered term at 37 weeks instead of 40, you will most likely deliver them a few weeks earlier than you would a single baby. Many practictioners will induce you if you go past 38 weeks, that is something you will have to ask your OB about.

Good luck and enjoy being a twin mommy :)

Getting pregnant tips?

Deserae~fi

My husband and I would like to have a baby. Are there any good "getting pregnant" tips you ladies can give me? We are using preseed and we have been having sex almost every day. Are there any specific positions that can help or an herb or something I can take that can help with fertility? Hoping to get pregnant soon. Baby Dust to you all.

Answer
In some cases, as when nature needs a boost, a little push from you and your partner can go a long way in getting pregnant. When it comes to the best position to get pregnant, the general rule is that the male sperm must be deposited as near to the female cervix as possible.

This has something to do with the life spans of the female egg and the male sperm. Once an egg is released from the ovary - a stage also known as ovulation - it begins its path down the fallopian tube to the uterus. A released egg typically survives for only 24 hours, while a sperm can last anywhere from three to five days in the female body. As such, the egg has to be as close to the egg as possible so they can meet and join before the egg dies.

While not a lot of people will agree that the sexual positions have anything to do with getting pregnant, the logical inference is that it makes sense to assume the position that can help the sperm meet the egg in the shortest possible time.

This is especially true when for couples who have problems or difficulty conceiving. Having said this, the first "best position to get pregnant" tip is to avoid positions that least expose the cervix to the male sperm, and that generally defy gravity such as sex while standing up, sitting down, or with the woman on top. When trying to conceive, it is best to limit the amount of sperm that flows back out of the vagina.

The woman's hips should also be positioned in such a way that the sperm released is kept inside, giving it enough time to swim up to the female cervix.

Consider the following positions instead:

1. The missionary position. Or man-on-top is said to be the position that's best for getting pregnant. This is because this particular position allows for the deepest possible penetration, making it possible for the sperm to get deposited closest to the cervix.

2. Raise the hips. Elevating the hips, which can be done by placing a pillow behind her, can also be helpful because this exposes the female cervix to as much semen as the male can release.

3. Doggy-style. The rear-entry position where the man enters the woman from behind is also a recommended position. In this position, sperm is also deposited closest to the cervix, thereby helping increase the chances of conception.

4. Side-by-side. You can also try having intercourse while lying side by side. This position likewise causes the most exposure of the cervix to the male sperm.

5. Orgasms. Finally, while this has nothing to do with sexual positions, there are also researches that suggest the importance of the female orgasm in conceiving. According to studies, female orgasm leads to contractions that could push sperm up into the cervix. The lesson: have fun while trying to conceive.

Tips for Trying to concieve?

Q. Hi! Me and my bf are trying to have a baby. Do u have any tips on like what positions are best or just ANYTHING really! Also I dnt know when I'm ovulating. I usually get my period around the 12th of every mnth and it lasts 4 days . If tht helpps. Let me know everything u do plz!! :)

Answer
Having regular sex is the best way to get pregnant right away. Couples often try to time everything perfectly for ovulation but do not have sex when they think they are not ovulating. It is true that sex that is not within the time of ovulation will not result in pregnancy. However, because women do not always ovulate when they think they will, having sex three times a week will help a woman to cover her bases, so to speak, and not miss an opportunity to get pregnant.
Using an ovulation kit (or opk) to predict when you are ovulating will improve your chances of getting pregnant. For many women charting or other methods of ovulation prediction are too confusing. Ovulation prediction kits work by reading LH surges prior to ovulation. They are relatively easy to use and are generally accurate for predicting ovulation. Fertility monitors, such as the Clear Blue Easy monitor, are also a worthwhile investment if you would like to get pregnant faster. Fertility monitors are similar to ovulation prediction kits in that they read changes in LH but they also read changes in other hormones and donât require any guesswork for couples. They are easy to use and will tell you when the best time to get pregnant is.
Sometimes couples get confused about the best time to have sex in relationship to ovulation. You have a small window of time each month to get pregnant. After a woman ovulates the egg will survive approximately 24 hours. Sperm, on the other hand, will live for up to three to five days. This is why having sex two to three days before ovulation will increase your chances of getting pregnant. Donât wait until the day you ovulate to have sex. Your partnerâs sperm will last longer than your egg and you donât want to miss an opportunity by waiting.
A lot of couples have heard to have sex around day fourteen of your cycle. This is based on the calendar method and assumes that you have a regular 28-day cycle and ovulate mid-cycle. Although this is better than just picking an arbitrary day to have sex, it is not a very accurate way to predict when you ovulate. Many women do not ovulate on day fourteen and knowing precisely when you ovulate will help you time intercourse better. Ovulation prediction kits, looking at previous months bbt charts, or watching for signs of ovulation will help you to determine when you ovulate.
Fertility Charting is great for tracking your cycle but it does have disadvantages. By the time you can see ovulation on a bbt chart, you have already ovulated. It is good to chart so you can track your cycles, see if you ovulate the same time each month, and also so you can look back on your cycle and see if you timed things right. But if this is your first cycle trying to get pregnant or if you are not ovulating at the same time each month, an ovulation prediction kit would be more helpful.
Make sure you are in good health and have had a regular check up from your OBGYN or medical provider. Untreated infections, sexually transmitted diseases, or poor health can affect your chances of getting pregnant. Its good to see a doctor as well as start taking prenatal vitamins prior to trying to conceive.
This may seem like common sense but many women do try to get pregnant while smoking, drinking or using drugs. Smoking, drugs, and alcohol can affect your fertility. It will also affect your unborn child. It is important to stop smoking or using drugs and alcohol before getting pregnant and not wait until you find out you are pregnant.
Sometimes when couples are trying to conceive, sex becomes a job or function of reproduction and is not as enjoyable. Plan a romantic evening or try something different to spice things up. How you are feeling sexually may factor into your chances of getting pregnant. Some researchers believe that having an orgasm during sex increases your chances of getting pregnant. For women, the spasmic movements of orgasm will help pull the sperm into the uterus and for men a better orgasm may increase the manâs sperm count.
The missionary position is a good position to use when trying to get pregnant. Avoid positions where the woman is on top. Gravity will allow sperm to leak out with these positions. Also try placing a pillow under your hips to help tilt your pelvis and keep the sperm in longer. Donât get up right after sex. Try to relax and allow the sperm to stay in the vagina as long as possible.
Most couples get pregnant within a year of trying. If you have not gotten pregnant within a year consult your doctor for advice.

Answer
OPK is the trick!! (ovulation predictor kit)..If your period is irregular you have no telling which days your ovulating! So go to walmart and they have the answers OPK get that and read the directions..it will tell you when to start testing if you read it! I was trying for 1 month with on luck..and the second month I bought the kit..used a lubrication called pre-seed and here i am 13 wks into my pregnancy! One shot..it worked..I spent about 18 dollars for the kit and the lubrication so its not too exspensive! Good luck!

Answer
have sex every other day, or every 3 days. sperm can live for 3 days, sometimes even 5. so if you have sex every other day, (or 3 days), then you will always have live sperm in your body.

or you can buy ovulation tests and take one each day to see when you ovulate.

âHow can I
tell if my
female is
pregnant?â

By Carol Lawton

This is one of the most common questions from new breeders and has always been a bit of a mystery. The traditional method includes checking for a mucous plug a few hours after mating, watching for behavioral changes, then waiting two weeks to see if the female gets round. For those of us who are new to breeding, this can be a very anxious time.

The issue was compounded for me by wanting to be certain that my babies, when they finally arrived, were normal. The only data available was from lab sites, and lab data doesnât always apply to our pets. Since I was planning to breed my lovely RI Coco Chanel for the second time, I started looking for a scale to weigh her babies.....

http://www.worldofrats.com/ROUSBreedingFAQ2.html
Q: How long is a ratâs gestation?
A: Rats typically deliver 21 â 23 days after mating. Most of my girls favor day 22 or 23, but be prepared for your rat to deliver by day 20 just to be safe.

Q: No, seriously, how do I tell if my rat is pregnant?
A: Alas, there are no home pregnancy test kits for rats, but, boy, itâd be nice if there were! If you did not actually see the rats mating, predicting delivery dates can be a bit tricky. Most females start to show a growing belly by the third week of pregnancy. Some are quite sneaky, especially if they have rather rounded figures to begin with, and donât show until a few days before delivery. Also many pregnant does begin to show obvious nipples by the third week, so that's another sign of probable pregnancy. If you do suspect your girl is pregnant, you may want to separate her from her cagemates and get her into a safe nursery cage just to be on the safe side. If your rat has not delivered babies within 3.5 to 4 weeks of suspected mating, youâre in the clear and can stand down from red baby alert.

Q: Should I supplement my pregnant ratâs diet?
A: Pregnant and lactating females need extra protein in their diets, so itâs a good idea to provide that. Some breeders like to add in a low-fat cat food to their pregnant doesâ mix and some supplement with soy baby formula or kitten weaning formula like KMR. My ladies LOVE the Iams low-fat cat food in dry format though your does may have their own preferences.

» EvilChihuahua - How can you tell if a rat is pregnant??
In response to How can you tell if a rat is pregnant?? posted by noodleynoodles:

I'm a former rat breeder so maybe I can help. It can be difficult sometimes to know if a rat is pregnant, but other times it easy. If she has gained weight around the sides, and looks kind of pear shaped, she's most likely pregnant. Rats stay very active during pregnancy, so that makes it a little harder to know.

Also, if she lets you, put your fingers on her belly and see if you can feel movement. A sure sign she is pregnant is if she starts building a nest and gets a bit defensive, such as biting.

When they are born keep males away from the babies since they sometimes eats them, but don't be surprised if the mother eats a baby. This usually means the baby was sick and wasn't going to survive.

Hope all goes well with her.

and cant you get pregnant if you dont use a condom? cuz i alwayss thought that!

Answer
A suggestion . . . .
Provoke a period when you are due, it can even work if you are a bit late. You can do this by using Vitamin C.
Take 6-12 grams of ascorbic acid - vitamin C a day for 5-10 days. Specifically ascorbic acid. Do not use vitamin C with bioflaviniods or anything that has Rose-hips in it. Look for the cheap generic brands, they are usually the ones that have pure ascorbic acid. Doses consisting of one 500 mg tablet per hour are most common.
The vitamin C -ascorbic acid- works to produce an unfavorable climate within the uterus so that the egg does not implant, or cannot maintain its grip on the uterine wall. By stimulating estrogen, and possibly interfering with progesterone. Thus making it useful as an emergency contraceptive, when taking it before implantation occurs.
Progesterone is needed to prepare the uterus to receive the egg, the uterine lining builds up each month, and if the egg is not fertilized then this is what becomes the menstrual blood, when the lining is shed to prepare for the next cycle.

How It Works

If you have any questions about it, email me. I have used these methods successfully before. I take 1,000mg every two hours until bleeding commences. You should be waking up every 4 hours and taking your missed doses at night, this ensures that you have a constant level of ascorbic acid in your blood stream. 12grams a day - 1,000mg/1gr every two hours.

Could I be pregnant with twins?

MommaToBe2

I went for my first ultrasound at 6 weeks & they found two sacs, but I have went back for about 3 ultrasounds and all they see is one baby. I went to the ER Sunday and they picked up two different heartbeats, but the nurse couldn't give me a ultrasound and check because the doctor wasn't there. I haven't had a ultrasound since I was almost 18 weeks and I have felt my baby move in so many different angles at the same time & I have already gained about 35-40 pounds, Are they a possibilty that I could be pregnant with twins?
My next ultrasound is march 19th. Which is in 2 weeks.

Answer
well i would yes there is a very strong possibility for twins!!!
I am 7 weeks right now with twins and have already gained 5 pounds :(
I have had 2 ultrasounds first showed two sacs one very very small compared to the other, it was hard to see, then second ultrasound on tue showed again one big sac with baby and heartbeat and a very very small one underneath with a baby and heartbeat. I just think one is behind the other and that is why it is hard to see on ultrasound, especially since I did see the baby and a heartbeat with the second just not much fluid and a very tiny sac but again I just think it is being hidden in there.

When is your next ultrasound?
Hopefully one has moved into a better position to see both, but I really think you have twins! Congrats! Im still in the freaked out stage and so much shock!!! I am going from 1 3yr old kid to 3 ahhhhhh. Im not due though until Oct so I have some time to come to terms with the idea!

Pregnant With Twins?

From experience, did any of you that had twins, know you were pregnant with them before you had a sonogram? If so, how were your symptoms? I know I've heard the symptoms from a single pregnancy are a little different than that of a twin pregnancy. Like more nausea with twins & everything. And is it possible to get pregnant with twins without having twins run in the family or anything?

What happens if you are pregnant in prison?

Samantha

What happens if you go to prison pregnant or get pregnant while in there (congenial visits). What happens to the baby once you've had it. Prisons can get violent there is a safety issue there isn't there?

Answer
Policies towards pregnant prisoners depends on the prison itself. When the woman goes into labor their will usually be guards or correction officers who escort her to a hospital, where she will remain until she is stable enough to finish her sentence. Again depending on the prison, policies towards the child differ. In Finland, and other socialist countries, prisons put their inmates in housing versus cells, and they allow for the child to live with it's mother. It's designed this way to teach the prisoners responsibility, and how to care for their child. Their are some prisons in Canada that do this as well and allow the child to remain with the mother. If the prison does not allow this, or the mother is unfit to care for the child, the prison will either give custody to the father, or other family, or to social services. Sometimes the child is put in foster care until the mother can get out. It all depends. As far as pregnancy goes, pregnant criminals don't get special treatment for being pregnant, but the prison will take care of the child while it is in the womb, such as allowing the mother to not participate in certain activities that could hurt the child.

Pregnant and sentenced to Prison??

Flossy

What happens if a pregnant lady is sentenced to prison? Is there like a special kind of prison for pregnant ladies?

Answer
i can only answer what i know to be factual i live in ohio and in the ohio penal system incarrcerated women go through admissions for a security clearance just like anyone else might go through the problem that I see with this is............with this system it leave's oppertunity for the unborn children to get injured when all of the women are rushing to the door's and the pregnant women are amongst them. There should be programs where pregnant mother's if this were there first time of being in trouble that they could go on ankle monitoring or something. Some of theese incarrcerated women are"nt so fortunate as to have a family member or someone that they know to take their baby's and many of theese women are forced to put their baby's up for adoption. Yes there are program's that allow theese women to keep their baby's with them for a period of time but at time's women are turned down for theese program's and are left with no where to turn and are forced to give their child up for adoption. Many of the women that I speak of did"nt even know that they were pregnant until they became incarrcerated. One of the thing's that is done while theese women are going through security clearance is ........A PREGNANCY TEST!!! Once this pregnancy test is done os in many case's when alot of incarrcerated women fond out that they are even pregnant. There has to be a better solution to this problem and ..........there should be a special type pf institution for pregnant women!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think that house arrest would be a better solution. The reason that I think this Is every one wins including the unborn children that get caught up in this MESS!!!!!!! mom stays home so the federal government is'nt haveing to pay for the cost of prenatal care, mother and child are'nt looking for each other for years to come , the cost to the federal government becomes minimized. God forbid if one of theese women are ever seriously hurt and her unborn child is hurt ............it could become very cost ly to our federal government!!!!!!!!!!! there has to be a better solution to this ever GROWING problem!!!! If not house arrest then there need's to at the bare minimum a safe place for pregnent women!!!!!!!!!!

Pregnant with PCOS?

ME

Is it possible to get pregnant through IUI with PCOS? I am undiagnosed but am 99% sure its what it is. I have almost every symptom, and my cousin was recently diagnosed and her doctor said that it may be genetic. Her and her husband are having a hard time having a baby though. They've been trying for about a year. I am 18 right now but plan to get pregnant around 22 or 23. Point being is it possible to get pregnant with it?

Answer
It is possible to get pregnant even if you have PCOS. The important thing to know is the correct treatment for it. The best treatment is a low carb diet, exercise, combined with an insulin sensitizing drug, such as metformin. A few important facts to know:

1. The main cause of PCOS is insulin resistance (IR). Many women "pass" the blood test that determines IR, but still respond positively from metformin.

2. You should be treating your PCOS even if you are not trying to get pregnant. There are serious health risks that are elevated when PCOS is untreated (i.e. diabetes, high blood pressure, blood clots, certain cancers, etc). If the PCOS is treated continuously, those risks go back down.

3. It is VERY important to be on the correct dose of metformin. You wont see any improvements in your symptoms if you are not on a high enough dose (and it usually takes a few months on that dose before you see improvements).

I recommend seeing a reproductive endocrinologist. They are the most knowledgeable about PCOS. I also highly recommend visiting a message board geared toward women with PCOS. There is a great one at www.ivillage.com.

Could i be pregnant with Pcos?

Answer
i have pcos and was prescribed metformin also. I was taking 2000 mg per day and i was able to have a baby just 3 months after starting the metformin. I was prescribed the metformin simply for the purpose of getting pregnant. So yes it is possible to be pregnant with pcos. The Metformin itself made me feel very bad, I was very tired and ached all over and was throwing up for 2 weeks after starting it. I was taking the pill with lunch and dinner ...only 6 hours apart.... bad idea... you need to take it 12 hours apart! so if you take it at 8 am take the second pill at 8 pm. Its hard to say if what you are experiencing is a pregnancy symptom or metformin symptom. It sounds to me like its the Metformin. But if you have been having unprotected sex you could be pregnant also! all you can do is wait to take a test. If you are pregnant, make sure you stay on your metformin until you are 12 weeks otherwise you have a 50 % chance of miscarraige due to the pcos hormone ifficiencies.

Vitex to get pregnant? please answer?

Q. i have heard from several people that vitex can improve your chances of getting pregnant if you have been having problems conceiving and if you have other conditions such as endometriosis(which i have) and if not is there anything you suggest as a supplement that increases your chances of getting pregnant? i have erratic periods they come when they want to even birth control didnt help and i have been on birth control since i was 12 to help regulate them. i am currently not on bc because i am ttc

Answer
I've used vitex aka chaste tree berries in a tincture. My cycles used to be thirty four days long and ten of those were bleeding with irregular bleeding all throughout. Now they are twenty eight days long five days of bleeding and no more random bleeding. I also have endometreosis. This is the lightest my periods have ever been so I really think it works well. One thing you should remember though is after your cycles are normal you should only take vitex until you ovulate then stop because I have read in a few places that it could be dangerous to a baby. Another thing that will help is to have a good massage therapist work on your hips and abdomen. I think you will find your muscles are really tight and painful. After a few sessions you will feel a big difference in your daily life. Best wishes I know how hard it is when you want a baby so bad, but the depression that comes with it will make the endometreosis worse so it's important to remember to let go relax and have a good cry when your period comes. Good luck and best wishes!

Does vitex really works? While trying to get pregnant!?

Ivan Reyes

Answer
If you have irregular periods, vitex can sometimes help, depeding on what mg you take. I tried to start off with 400 mg, and stuck with it for 3 months, noticed no change. I tried 800 mg for 3 months, and noticed I started spottting midcycle, so I upped the dosage to 1200 and never got anything more than lots of spotting. I had done all this with my doctors help, he simply said it doesn't affect the cycle enough for people with extremely irregular cycles, but more for people with regular periods who ovulate late and want to adjust that or people with SLIGHTLY irregular periods. It can make you ovulate sooner, so the egg has a longer implantation period and it can help tone the uterus and make it more able to sustain an implanted egg. If you decide to try it, make sure you consult your dr, as you would any medication. there are specific mg and times on when to take and stop taking it. It takes time to build up in your system to start working, so be sure to stick with it for at least 3 months. Good luck!

I feel bad eating in front of my baby?

browneyedg

I have a 15 week old baby and she is being very social and responsive, especially with me. So now whenever I eat, she stares at me and licks her lips and makes chewing movements. I know this is normal for her age but I do feel bad to eat in front of her. It always looks like as if she wants something of what I have. especially when I eat ice cream or other sweets. I know that she doesn't even know what I'm eating since she never had anything other than breastmilk and formula (because she's still too young for anything else).
But I still feel like I'm mean or something because I eat all these goodies in front of her and don't share... lol
Is this normal??

Answer
You're a GREAT mother to be still breat feeding and thinking of HER and not what's convenient for you. I love you. I wish there were more like you. Don't feel guilty, you silly goose. Babies who eat adult food too soon get all messed up with allergies and stuff. You're doing the right thing!!!!

8 month old baby recipe ideas?

E minor

So, my daughter is 8months old now and she has been wanting to feed herself and doing very well with the cereal puffs and baby mum mums. So, I have decided I wanted to actually start making her meals other than purees. For example, today we tried some baby scrambled eggs (no egg whites) and she seemed to like the taste but, needs a little time to get used to the new texture. What are some things you made for your baby at this age? I have tried noodles and she's not sure about those. She also doesn't seem to enjoy chicken broth atm but, I'm still trying. What are some recipes or tips you could offer as she is exploring the new foods? I'm nervous to give her small bites of bread and stuff because I'm not sure she is ready to chew that much but, she is great at mashing things up. Thanks! Btw, judgmental comments will get a thumbs down... I get a lot of these so, I always put this in here.

Answer
an 8 month old baby can eat any of the following;
small chunks of cooked carrots, green beans, peas, potato, sweet potato. These are all great and I fed them to my kids when they could pick them up themselves. When a baby develops that pincer movement with their fingers, cooked canned peas were the first things I fed them. No need ot mash them at all. I just dumped some on the highchair tray and let the little one pick them up and eat them. Of course they had been eating mashed peas long before that so it wasn't a new flavor.
They can also eat small chunks of any cooked fruit and raw banana.
Also shredded cheese, scrambled egg, cheerios, a crust of bread( I used baby food meat as a sandwich spread for my babies), crackers,
I also fed my kids from the table anything I made for the rest of us with the exception of pizza and chili or tacos. they ate roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy and roasted carrots. THe meat went into the baby food grinder the rest was mashed with a fork or chopped into chunks.
Ditto all pasta dishes, hot dishes, etc.
I never bought baby food at all.

Married with a baby: How do you make time for sex?

Jeff

I know people always say that a good sex life is a lot harder with a baby, and they advise that you "make time" for sex. It sounds like good advise, but in practice I don't know how to do it.

We have a four-month-old boy who mostly sleeps through the night. In addition, both of us are hunting for new jobs and money is a near-constant stress. My wife will soon return to work, and we're not sure how we will pay for child care yet.

Furthermore, she's worried that she will get pregnant again, and is admitting that this is a stress for her as well.

With all these distractions (plus keeping the house clean), it seems like we can never get together on this. My wife says she doesn't even think about sex anymore. I find this pretty alarming. I still think about it, and I even try to romance her a bit (kissing, etc.) Sometimes this works, but not often.

We're having sex maybe every other week, but I think it's even less than that. What can I do to help improve things?
reddevil: I'm already doing all the things you suggest. Thanks for answering, but we've already done all that.

Heather D: We are using birth control -- condoms and the pill. She is still worried about getting pregnant again because the expense would be too much for us.
Peace of Mind: Thanks. I've tried almost that exact thing. I think she appreciates it, but it doesn't result in anything because (I think) she's still too worried and distracted.

Answer
Everyoneâs experiences make them an expert in their own right - so what is right for one couple may not be appropriate for another. Most couples wait for the magical 6 week mark and are dreadfully disappointed when that incredible pre birth sex doesnât happen... and then each time they have sex,'something' interupts the mood - be it crying baby, stress and concerns about getting preg again, pain or just plain lack of interest.

In now way are you alone in your concerns - nor is your wife "the only one". You have already had a myriad a of excellent advice and tips - so I won't revist these.

Especially with first babies, women can have a tendency to make their baby the centre of their universe. This often leaves little time to focus on, or be with their partner. This drought in every day intimacy and attention flows on to a coital hiatus. Nature, it seems, planned on this to ensure that
babies are well looked after and future pregnancies are spaced out.

The âdroughtâ can come from either partner and the disinterest in sex and intimacy, stems from a number of issues and conditions, which sadly is not discussed by even the closest of friends, much less the medical fraternity or the media. It may be through the rollercoaster of hormones pulsing through the womans body after birthing, and landing unsettled and unbalanced â causing low libido. Its possible the physical and emotional strain of caring for a young child is taking the toll on both your good natures, leaving little time for intimacy and closeness you shared before your baby came along. The financial strain, the unsettled feelings stemming from unexplored roles as a parent and the sheer exhaustion from being a new parent all contribute to the lack of intimacy and sex within a relationship. .The return to sexual intimacy needs to be in your own good time and not to rush it. Its important to make space and time to care and nurture yourself â something that as a new parent seems as easy as to fly to the moon. Lastly, the importance of including and communicating with your partner in paramount.

All women find that their libidio/desire for sex returns in differing amounts of time and intensity. This has a lot to do with the massive changes in a womans hormones after birthing. Again, rest, proper nutrition and emotional support will assist with this coming back to normal â but in some cases hormonal support may be required â and this can be gained from a naturopath â or from a medical practitioner.

And getting back to incredible sex? ( it is possible!!) It all depends I guess, on your birth experience and the damage ( physically and mentally) that you have endured and the meanings you place upon those experiences in relation to sex. My advice is to keep an open and honest communication link with your partner and take things slowly â with little pressure â and connect again with yourself as a sensual being, before attempting to touch another.

BABY Ferret Making Noise In Sleep?

I got this brand new 4 month old ferret at Petco today. He is a normal ferret. I'm new to the fuzzball world and was wondering why he's making weird noises in his sleep. Its like when he was dooking earlier before, but now he's asleep in his hammock. Are the noises just him snoring?
But ferrets do sometimes make noises when they're awake. It's called dooking. Or at least thats what I thought..
He's also very boney. I'm not sure if thats normal or not. He hasn't eaten any of the food I put out for him, nor has he drunk from the waterbottle. I'm not sure if these details help because I haven't even had him for over a day

Answer
I have two new baby ferrets (7 weeks old) and they make noises all the time in their sleep! It sounds a little like a creaking gate. they often do it when they're stretching in their sleep.
I think it's perfectly normal, as they're eating, sleeping and playing normally.

As for the eating, you need to make sure that he gets plenty of food. It may need some experimentation with different types of food because they don't like their diets changing. Try him on a little cooked chicken (no bones) or raw chicken (bones are fine in raw chicken). He might prefer it minced. Or, if he's on kibble, try soaking it in a little warm water for a while to soften it up. If this doesn't work, try some kitten milk (NOT cows or cat milk). If none of this works, take him to the vet immediately. Once they start not eating, it can be very difficult to get them started again. You may need to feed him by syringe (not pleasant, and you should have some help from an experienced ferret handler).
He shouldn't be at all skinny - mine have tubby little bellies on them!

Hope you have luck getting the little one to eat.
