how can i increase the chances of me and my boyfriend getting pregnant? we are using the ovulation calender but thats really it. we are able to raise and aford a child and i am over the age of 18 so no rude comments or say im not able to raise a child!

Answer
The first simple change you can make to your lifestyle to increase your chances of getting pregnant is to eat better and get fit. Being a little overweight or underweight can increase irregularities in your menstrual cycle and ovulation. The amount of fat you have on your body controls hormones like estrogen and leptin. It helps to start taking prenatal vitamins now!

Step 2
Learn your body' s ovulation signs. Most women do not have a clue when they ovulate or when they need to have intercourse to get pregnant. The majority of women will ovulate 14 days after their period. That is based on a 28 day cycle. Pregnancy is usually achieved when the sperm are ready to meet the egg after it is released. This is accomplished by having intercourse up to 3 days before ovulation. Most experts say sperm can live up to five days in the woman's uterus after ejaculation.

Start taking your temperature every morning at the same time before you get out of bed. This is called your basal body temperature. You will need to do this for a month before you recognize a pattern. Your body temperature will begin to drop slightly right before ovulation. A temperature spike following a drop indicates ovulation.

Another sign of ovulation is cervical mucous. Cervical mucous is mucous that your cervix secretes before ovulation to assist the sperm on their journey. As you approach ovulation your cervical mucous will increase in quantity and stretchiness. Some refer to this as egg white cervical mucous. Next cycle keep an eye out about 1.5 weeks after your menstrual period for discharge that looks like egg whites. This is a great fertility sign!

You can also purchase fertility monitors. Clear Blue Easy is a great fertility monitor. In my experience the monitor takes about two months to detect ovulation and some women report that the monitor took only one month to detect their ovulation pattern. The monitor comes with sticks that you urinate on like a pregnancy test. The monitor will tell you when it wants you to insert a stick. The monitor detects two key hormones that induce ovulation. It's defiantly worth the money if you have no idea when you ovulate!

Step 3Have sex regularly! Most couples miss the window of fertility and think they can't conceive. By following the steps above you will begin to figure our your body' s way of telling you it's ready to ovulate. Take advantage of this time and baby dance!

My husband and I are trying to concieve. We are both healthy and have never had any serious health problems. Any tips?
Actually the thought of a baby has got us more excited about sex and more into it! :)

Answer
Read the book: Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler. The book explains your cycle, charting and how to get pregnant. This book is a must read.

The only day you get can pregnant is when you ovulate. The day you ovulate, your body releases the egg. The egg lives a maxium of 24 hours. However, sperm can live up to five days in fertile cervical mucus but most live three days. Your fertile phase are the 3-4 days prior to ovulation and the day of ovulation. In order to maximize your chances of getting pregnant, you would have sex every 24 hours during this time. Unless you think your husband has low sperm count, then you would have sex every other day during your fertile phase.

In order to get pregnant you need fertile cervical fluid/mucus. The cervical mucus consistency varies through a woman's cycle. The consistency of your cervical mucus changes during the cycle due to hormonal fluctuations. You are considered most fertile when the mucus becomes clear, slippery, and stretchy. Many women compare mucus at this stage to raw egg whites. The amount of this thin mucus will steadily increase until you experience your 'mucus peak'. This is the last day of this phase where the chance of conception is high. It is closely tied to ovulation. During this phase, the sperm's survival rate is higher. Here is some information of cervical mucus.

Stages of Cervical Fluid: Post Menses
Stage 1: Lasting 2 - 3 days CM is Sticky or Gummy
Stage 2: Lasting 2- 4 days: CM is Creamy, Milky, Lotion Like - Beginning of your fertile period
Stage 3: Lasting 1-5 days: Egg white Cervical Fluid - At this time you are very fertile.
Stage 4: Dry, Moist or Sticky (Infertile)

Some other tips:
-When having baby sex, do not use lube (KY Jelly, astroglide, etc) it renders sperm immobile. If you want to use lube, use preseed. Preseed promotes a sperm friendly atmosphere. http://www.preseed.com/
-Do not douche or use scented tampons. They alter the acidity of the vagina.
-Do not have oral sex when you are having baby sex. Saliva can kill sperm.
-Have sex in the missionary position. This allows for the deepest penetration and will deposit the sperm closest to the cervix.
-After sex, stay laying down with your pelvis slightly elevated/tilted for 15 minutes.

Pregnant with Twins after recent miscarriage... twin experiences preferred please?

apsuz73

I had a miscarriage and D&C the end of August, and ended up pregnant again before the return of my period (last week of September). I'm now almost 8 weeks, and the dr. said it's twins. There were two very definate yolk sacs at the ultrasound a week ago, along with two heartbeats. On Friday, I had another ultrasound and the heartbeats were a little faster and seemed easier for the dr. to get, but he said he couldn't seperate the two embryos? So I go in 2 weeks for another ultrasound to find out if they are in the same sac or seperate sacs. I'm scared to death to even be pregnant this soon after a miscarriage (yes, we were using protection, and we are married), even more so since finding out it's twins. What are the chances that both will survive this pregnancy? What are the dangers if they share the same sac? Neither of us have twins in our families (I'm 34, this is pregnancy #7 with 2 miscarriages (at age 16 and this year) and 5 live births), chance of identical vs fraternal????

Answer
If they share the same sac, it would mean identical twins. They will have their own little sac, and one outside one that houses both. I think that if everything stays looking good like it is you will have a cute set of twins in about 7 months!!! Identical twins are normally hereditary. It is a magic thing that happens when the egg decides to become two! With you being over 30, it could very well be fraternal twins since a lot of women begin ovulating with two separate eggs that cause fraternal twins!! Congratulations on your two bundles! Just remember as they get older to allow them to be individuals and not always group them together!! That is the worse part!

Getting my pregnant gf to the usa with fiance visa?

Ricky Mont

My girlfriend is a mexican citizen living in Tijuana, 4 months pregnant and need to get her to Los Angeles ASAP.

I'm a born u.s citizen, and how long is the process ( Fiance Visa) for a pregnant woman?

According to my research, she has 90 days to comeover to the usa to married, and i must prove i make $19.000 anually, and 2 years knowing eachother.
People have told me about the 19000 dlls is not true, all i have to show is that im working ( check stubs), and for a pregnant woman, process is much faster about 2-3 months.
Whats the total cost for the fiance visa process??

Thankyou

Answer
Nope. Being pregnant won't change anything. If that was the case all fiancee visa applicants would be pregnant.

The processing time for a Mexican fiance is around 5 to 7 months.

Your income is demonstrated by your income taxes and pay stubs.
For a family of two (you and her) the annual income requirement is $15,510. The baby will be counted, so your annual income will need to be over $19, 530 for you to be found eligible.

Here is how the process works:

What you should apply for is called a Fiancee or K1 visa. Once approved your foreign Fiancee will be allowed to LEGALLY enter the USA for the purpose of marrying you,
then permanently remaining in the USA.

I produced a video "How to Bring Your Fiance to the USA"
http://www.visacoach.com/how-bring-fiancee-to-usa.html

To summarize.

First of all you have a real courtship and relationship and you both intend to get married.

Then check that you both meet the eligibility requirements: You are a US citizen. You both are currently 'free to marry'. You earn over $15,510 annual income ($19, 530 for three person household). You have met each other 'face to face' at least once, during the past two years.

You will have to 'prove' that you have a real, genuine, 'bone fide' relationship. You do this by presenting copies of correspondences, photos, letters, plane tickets, etc.

You should make sure that you build from the start a solid 'paper trail' of the communications of your relationship. This means itemized telephone records, emails, instant messages, voip calls, snail mail, packages. If you use prepaid telephone cards make sure yours gives you an itemized call list or find a different card to use..

When traveling to visit your fiancee, take plenty of photos, vary the shots, locations, wardrobes. Meet her family, and friends. Document with photos. Turn date stamping on.

Don't move too quickly. Couples who instantly fall in love and get engaged or married may be suspected of fraud. Go slowly, build your relationship.

Once your relationship gets serious, don't let too much time elapse between trips to meet each other "Face to Face". The longer the separation, the more suspect the relationship is. I recommend travel to meet with your Fiance at least every 6 to 9 months.

Once your relationship has progressed, you have made 1 or more trips, and you have abundant proof of your relationship. Then You apply for the visa, to USCIS, Homeland Security.

Then about 6 to 8 months later she will be asked to come to the US embassy for her interview. If all goes well she will be granted your visa, come to the USA and you can then marry.

Once you marry, she applies for his Green Card and then can remain together with you permanently in the USA.

Costs:

$340 Fiancee visa filing fee, when You originally apply to USCIS
$200 medical exam fee, just prior to her interview
$240 Visa application fee, just prior to her interview
