I skip months at a time..I was taking birth control to regulate it but then I got off it and my period went right back to being irregular. Do you think I'll have a difficult time getting pregnant?

I'm not trying to conceive yet btw but I'm just wondering if you have any tips or what your opinions are. Thanks!

In my experience - extremely hard. I saw a spacialist and underwent various forms of fertility treatments and it took 4 years with my first (i do not have pcos, am not overweight, premenopausal or have any known condition).

I did however fall pregnant naturally and have a 2 year old son. I have been trying for 6 months with number 2 but have only had 2 or 3 periods in this time.

My advice is to start tracking everything well in advance so you might get a better idea of when you are ovulating when you do start trying.

I also bought the maybe baby ovulation tester but it doesnt seem to be doing me any good.

Good luck - i dont mean to scare you but it has certainly not been easy for me and i too have always had irregular cycles unless i was on the pill.

You could create your design at Cropmom.com using high end graphics available on the web site. They have the tools and you are only limited by your imagination. I would suggest using the images from two kits at the site; "All About Baby" or Visit From the Stork" which have lots of graphics and you could chose from the multitude of word art available. After you have completed your poster I would have it printed by a photo finisher. This is doable because the images at Cropmom are high resolution and so after you download the image from Cropmom, the high resolution would be great for any size poster you might choose to print. Cropmom is free to use for screen quality images. Print quality will cost a nominal charge .. less than $2.

How can I know buy good quality fleece fabric online?

I need to buy some fleece fabric for making baby diaper covers but when I shop online I'm unsure of how to tell whether the material is cheap, thin fleece or good thick fleece. How am I to tell? Is there are particularly good brand of fleece material that I could buy in order to guarantee that I'm getting suitable fabric?

Are you sure you want to use fleece? To me, it would seem too bulky for the folds you make to insert the elastic needed for tiny legs and waist of a baby.

Ouch! How to get rid of painful spasms in my lower leg muscles?

I am 25 weeks pregnant and lower leg spasms just started a couple days ago. Anyone know how to prevent them from happening? I was told that when this happens, to flex my foot towards my body rather than away from it to relieve pain. This helps it to go away but what can prevent it from happening in the first place? I heard there was a link between not getting enough calcium but this cannot be the case as I eat dairy like no tomorrow and go through a gallon of milk in a week.

Sounds like a Charley horse. To prevent them do some calf stretches every day and keep your lower legs warm. Wear leg-warmers if you have to. A warm muscle is a relaxed muscle.

What can i do about sore swollen legs?

Im 30 wks and 2 days pregnant and my legs are really sore all the time, my ankles are very puffy and swollen. If I walk even a short distance my legs really hurt for hrs after. Is there anything I can do to help this?

Drink plenty, I know youre full of fluid but this helps flush the kidneys, elevate your legs when resting, raising the foot end of the bed could help too. If the weather is hot you will swell more but cankles are pretty much the norm in later pregnancy especially in warmer weather.

Guinea pigs are sweet, docile creature that provide countless hours of enjoyment and amusement. They live an average of five years. All guinea pigs should have the following:

*An appropriate cage with a SOLID bottom floor (no wire).
*Quality guinea pig (not rabbit!) pellets (Oxbow, Petrus).
*Unlimited hay. Timothy is best unless pregnant or a baby. (Then some Alfalfa hay is needed).
*Daily source of Vitamin C. Don't buy the drops at the pet store--they're useless & pigs don't like the taste. Give the piggie a slice of orange each morning or greens that contain Vit. C.
*Fresh clean water.
*Fresh green veggies everyday such as Romaine lettuce (NOT iceburg), bell pepper, cilantro, parsley, etc.
*A treat every few days (carrot, slice of apple, piece of cantaloupe, a sugar snap pea)
*Interaction every day by the owner (petting, playing on the floor).

Guinea pigs are herd animals and do best when paired with another guinea pig. They do not like to be kept by themselves.

How do I know when my cat is going to give birth?

My cat is pregnant, and I'm not sure when it happened. I have 3 male cats in the house with her and I am afraid they will try to hurt her kittens. I plan to put her in a kennel to keep this from happening but I don't know when. I've been told they get more affectionate right before, but she has been since she went into heat. What should I do to protect her and her little ones?
This is her 2nd litter but I wasn't there the first time and the kittens died...I don't know what happened to them.

Pregnancy in cats lasts 64-69 days. She will become very restless and pace around as if looking for something when she is getting close. She may also become very vocal. She will probably make many trips to the litterbox right before the birth but produce nothing as she will feel the urge to urinate (just like human mothers) from the pressure on her bladder. Eventually, she will go to a maternity area. Hopefully, you have one of these ready? I wouldn't use a kennel to be honest. I'd try to put her in a room by herself with her kittens away from the other cats for several days. Can you do that? She may become aggressive in that last few days as many mothers do. Give her a litter box in then (preferably an uncovered shallow box) and her own food and water bowls (anything but plastic).

As you're watching for the last days here, make sure you look for any signs of problems. Bleeding could indicate a problem. Also, if she goes too far beyond her due date, that could be a problem. So, if you notice the signs above for more than a day or two, it's time to call a vet.

You can create a really nice maternity area from a cardboard box. Make it 2 X 3 feet wide and about 1 1/2 feet high. A top on the box is handy to keep the kittens in and to add some darkness. Cut a hole in one side large enough for your cat to crawl in and out of. Shred some newspaper and cover the bottom with it (about 2-3 inches), then cover that with an old blanket or shirt that smells like you and your house to make your kitty feel comfortable. Put this box in a nice quiet, warm, and dark-ish place in your home. Show your kitty so she knows where to go when she is ready.

For the birth, you'll need the following handy: clean cloths/towels, vaseline, small scissors (preferably sharp), gentle disinfectant in a bowl with warm water, and some dental floss. A heating pad would be great to have on hand too which you can put over the side of the box after the birth to keep everyone warm inside.

When she finally goes to the maternity area, she will want to be left alone. Let her do this and don't try to move her. She may stand or sit depending on what is comfortable for her. The labour may last as little as 2-3 hours or up to 12 hours and she may cry out if this is her first litter. Don't be alarmed. She's just getting used to the pain of labour. If she appears to be having trouble getting the kittens out, you can put some of the Vaseline onto her and that will help the kittens slide out more easily. This is really handy if she's a first time mother.

The kittens may come out head first or feet first .. neither are a problem. Each kitten may take 10-15 minutes to be born. She may have only 2 kittens if it's her first litter, or as many as 4-6.

Here's where you may need to help. Your cat should break the amniotic fluid as each kitten is born. If she doesn't for any reason, you'll need to take your scissors and do it so the kitten can breathe. She should also cut the umbilical cord herself. If she doesn't, again, you may need to step in and that's where dental floss comes in handy. Tie it around the cord oh about 1 inch from the kitten's body and then cut on the inside (nearest to your cat). Your cat should clean the kitten off. If she doesn't, you'll need to help her out.

If any kitten appears to have trouble breathing, you can hold it upside down, insert a small syringe (without a needle) into its mouth and pull out any fluid from the mouth with the syringe. This should help.

You'll need to watch closely to make sure she is taking care of the kittens, encouraging them to nurse. Kittens are born blind and deaf and sometimes, they can't find a nipple. Feel free to help them out finding one as their mother will be exhausted!

Watch your cat for any bleeding or discharge after the birth. If she doesn't take care of the kittens or she leaves them, you will want to contact a vet immediately.

Hey, you can find this info online. I found one link for Cal. Look for one in your state or close by. They can send it to you frozen. You thaw it (let it liquify) and inject in your vagina using a long syringe available from the pharmacy. From what I have read online, lots of women get pregnant, at home, this way. The other alternative would be go to an Ob/Gyn or fertility specialist who would inject donor sperms into your uterus (intra-uterine insemination or IUI). That would obviously be much more expensive than doing it at home. IVF would b ethe last step if all else does not work.
I would suggest that you go to an OB/GYn. They would check youu and your husband. Simpler issues such as ovulation or complex such as PCOS can be treted with meds thses days. If your husband had low sperm count or motility, that could be circumvented by IUI and IVF. There is still a good chance that you and your husband can have your own baby. Talk to your physician and OB/Gyn before looking for donor sperms and/or adoption.

My husband got his 3 sperm analysis report back and the count increased from 68 to 78, however the motility is still low (25). Has anyone gotten pregnant with high count and low motility?

Yes. It's all a numbers game, and all you need is one.

If you're having troubles, consider aides like preseed (sperm friendly lube great for the motility). Also try to make sure you orgasm during sex, and stay laying down for at least 20 minutes afterward to give them time to liquefy and move into the cervix.

If you find this doesn't work, you might want to try looking into using instead cups (available in some drug stores and online). You can insert them after sex and they will keep all the sperm up by your cervix for up to 12 hours, allowing many more sperm to make the journey.

Why wont my 10 month old eat food with texture?

My daughter is 10 months old and wont eat anything other than baby food, baby cereals, and some of the Gerber Graduate things like puffs, cheese crunchies, and yogurt. She refuses to even eat regular natural applesauce and when she tries something shes not crazy about she gags herself to the point of vomiting. Im wondering if she has a texture problem or what I could do to ease the transition into regular foods?? Thanks for any help!

She's just not ready to make that transition and if you try to force it you will only push her further away from them. Just keep offering her some every so often and see if she wants it, if not it's okay.

when can i start giving my baby stage 2 baby food?

My daughter is 6months and 2weeks old shes been eating baby food for a month now and i was wondering when i can go to stage 2.she sits by herself now.she dosent crawl yet.well can someone let me know when to go from stage 1 baby food to stage 2 thanks.

After she has had each of the Stage 1 foods and hasn't had any allergies to them. Then, you know what you can give her from Stage 2 since they are often two or three things mixed together. Just continue to add one new food every 3 or 4 days and pretty soon she'll be eating all kinds of things! Also, if she's not ready for the thicker consistency, she will let you know. My daughter couldn't tolerate the thicker consistency for the longest time. It would make her gag and vomit.

well, apparently I am a freak of nature and got pregnant the same month I stopped. I took a pregnancy test friday morning, and to my surprise I got a very shocking BFP. I was not even going off the pill to get pregnant. BUT, after being married for 5 years, this will be a VERY happy addition to our little family.

It's possible if you ovulate on the 14th day since sperm can live up to 5 days inside you. But, if you have longer cycles with a normal 14 day latent time, you probably ovulate later than cycle day 14.

My morning sickness started at 8 weeks.
