Q. I'm 23 weeks pregnant with twins. I'm huge and miserable already. I will carry these babies as long as I need to so they'll be as healthy as possible. These babies will be my 4 and 5 babies, with my lartners kids they will be our 6 and 7 kids. My other 3 were all at 41 weeks and long labored. Also, is it possible to have them naturally? I did with my other 3 and want to do it this time. Again, whatever is good for the babies.

Hopefully, you will go to 40 weeks. Because twins are smaller, it's better to keep them in as long as possible. However, once your uterus reaches a certain size, it tends to go into labor, so odds are you will have premature babies.

If that one tries to come out first, then it can hook it's chin on the chin of the other baby and you get what's called locked twin syndrome and you have to have an emergency section.

Is it possible for unborn twins to be different in gestational age by a few weeks?
I've recently found out that I'm pregnant with twins. My doctor says that he thinks that one of the twins appears to be around 3 weeks younger. Is this even possible? I did not get any fertility treatments, or anything like that. I am pregnant with fraternal twins, granted by God naturally with no help from medical science.
More details: I did not have sex with more than one man!
Also, I did not have sex during the time, if it is indeed 3-4 weeks behind - due to an argument.
Again, these are not identical twins. They are completely fraternal and separate.

My oldest twin was several weeks behind the youngest in development. Check out the site there could be other reasons why. I highly recommend seeing a maternal-fetal specialist. The sooner the better. You can get references form the NICU at your hospital. Most likely you will have weekly or bi-weekly ultra sounds to closely monitor the growth of your twins.
