my baby loves to watchTV ( not for long time ) and we got her baby videos too. but we have heard that it is not good for them to watch TV before they are 8-9 month old, but on the videos it says from 1 mon -18 mon old.... what do you think?

my daughter has watched TV since she was four months old. the kind were they sing and count, she sings with them and dances along. not only is she not addicted to TV she is a very bright and happy. experts don't want children to watch TV because some parents use it as an educator and baby sitter. you still have to read and interact with your child no matter how good the show is. my daughter has her toys with her and plays on the floor, the TV might be on but its not like she is only watching that. you have to be the judge of what you want to do for your baby, no one knows better then the parents.

Q. if i come back negative for a drug screen when giving birth can protective services take my baby. I've been clean for about 3 months now and is in a treatment program doing really well, but i have a psycho bitch who is jealous and keeps calling protective services on me. what can i do to make sure i can take my baby home after giving birth.

If you are currently clean and in a program your baby will not be taken from you. Obviously you are trying to improve your life for your child. CPS will probably get involved and offer intact family services (they may not but it is possible). Intact services will allow you to keep your child in your care and they will offer you services to insure you continue to stay clean and are able to keep your child. Services could include a parenting class and/or counseling for example. If you are offered intact services and follow through with recommendations they will not take your child. If you refuse assistance they can place your child in foster care.
