Any tips on getting pregnant?

wentlersgi

Me and my love of my life have talked alot about having a baby, and we are ready to take that next step in our relationship, so for the last 2 months we havent been having all that much sex but when we do we just dont use protection, i was on the pill till about end of september, does that make it harder for you to get pregnant after you stop taking the pill? anyways any good tips?

Answer
I believe the first month or so after taking the pill its a little harder because the change of hormones in your body. I would suggest going to http://www.babycenter.com/ovulation-calculator
It's an ovulation calculator and it will show you days that you could most likely get pregnant. Have sex within those days:) I used to use it to try to keep from getting pregnant so keep in mind it isn't always accurate!
You can just get your man to have sex those days and within a few months I bet you will get pregnant. Good luck!

me and my girlfriend have been trying to concieve for about a year now and and have had ZERO luck, not even a miscarraige.... we have tried almost everything (ovulation tests, only having sex once a week, having sex every other day, her laying in bed with her hips up for a while after wards) and im lost on what to do next... BUT my brother and sister in law had drunk sex a month ago and forgot to use a condom and she got pregnant that one time they didnt use protection, so im thinking should we just get S**T faced and have sex?? please help! thank you for any and all tips/info you may have!

Answer
Well first of all, i'd just like to say how happy it makes me to see a man be so committed to his girlfriend and wanting to start a family. Well done, and sorry for your bad luck so far. Here are some things that could help you out:

- Are you and your girlfriend on a good diet? The healthier your diet, the healthier your sperm and eggs. There are lots of special diets just for couples trying to conceive
- Like the one above, are you both getting as much exercise as possible?
- What position are you using? Research shows the most fertile positions are missionary and doggy.
- If you or your girlfriend smoke, now is the time to stop.
- Try and limit the amount of alcohol you drink to a minimum
- Try and have a positive outlook
- Have you gone to a doctor or fertility specialist? They can check to see if theres anything wrong with your sperm, or your girlfriends eggs/womb. Some can also make a tailor made plan to increase your chances

I wouldn't recommend getting drunk, it just seems strange people are picked to get pregnant when they don't plan it while others would die for one but are struggling. I've always wanted to be a mum, but wasn't planning to be one at fourteen, and certainly wasn't planning the dad to be a rapist. But thats how fate wanted it, and i've just had to grow up quicker than most so I can be the best mum possible when the twins arrive in September. I wish you all the luck in the world, and I'll be checking your page for baby pics!

Best of luck :-)

any tips on getting pregnant?

Kelly Arms

my boyfriend and i have decided we would like to try and get pregnant. i was just wondering if anyone has any legitimate advice, such as diet or vitamins or just any general information on ovulation timing...im open for any advice

Answer
have sex at the time of ovulation which is around day 14 of your menstrual cycle.avoid straddling your partner as this means semen will leak out, and that you place a small pillow under your hips after intercourse. This means your cervix rests in the pool of semen for around 20 minutes and allows the sperm time to swim up through the cervix.Get your body ready for a baby by getting to your optimum weight (speak to your GP to find out what this is) as being over or underweight can affect the regularity of your periods and inhibit ovulation. If you carry too much weight around the stomach it can affect your hormone balance and impair fertility. If you aren't already taking some form of regular exercise - get into the habit now.Regular exercise can increase your chances of becoming pregnant. You should stop smoking and limit your alcohol intake to increase your chances of getting pregnant.Smoking robs the body of essential nutrients for fertility including zinc, selenium, and vitamin C. It increases levels of toxic substances like cadmium and lead in the blood. If you smoke you're more likely to have lower levels of vital fertility hormones and it will take you longer to conceive.take care with over-the counter and prescribed drugs. Avoid ibuprofen; Roaccutane, an anti-acne treatment; certain antibiotics - if you're about to be prescribed these tell your doctor that you're planning a pregnancy; antihistamines, which can interfere with cervical mucus; diuretics which can dry the cervix.Take folic acid supplements at least three months before you even try to conceive to reduce the risk of the baby developing neural tube defects, which leads to conditions such as spina bifida. It's difficult to consume the recommended level of folic acid through food alone which is why taking a single daily supplement of 400ug folic acid is a simple way for women to protect their unborn babies.Men should make sure that their testes are not too hot as this can kill sperm. They should avoid hot baths, tight-fitting underwear and jeans, and using a portable computer balanced on the lap as all these things raise scrotal temperature.take a vitamin E, C and zinc supplement to enhance sperm number and quality, but she believes vitamin supplements are unnecessary for women as long as they are following a healthy balanced diet which is low in fat and has plenty of fruit and vegetables. If you're living a hectic life, deciding to try for a baby should be a cue to slow down. You won't be able to live at such a frantic pace once you're pregnant so put changes in place now.Make sure you eat plenty of protein. Daily portions of meat, poultry, fish and dairy improves egg production. It's best to avoid soya as it has mild contraceptive properties. Caffeine should also be on your banned list - more than one cup of coffee a day can increase the time it takes to conceive by up to 50% - so try switching to herbal teas.should also drink around two litres of water daily, and think about taking a multi-vitamin and mineral supplement. Look for a specially formulated pre-pregnancy supplement. It should contain zinc, which is vital for maintaining a healthy menstrual cycle; and selenium which boosts fertility levels. Try to cut down on flavourings and additives, especially aspartame and monosodium glutamate. Go for fresh meat, fish and vegetables rather than processed ready-meals, and healthy snacks like fruit and nuts rather than chocolate and crisps. Your partner should also drink at least two litres of water a day as semen is largely made up of water. He should also have a healthy diet and take a vitamin and mineral supplement.

can you get pregnant without a man?

I have had no sexual contact/intimacy/intercourse at all with a man in any way but I have masturbated by inserting a q tip in and out. I got my period in the beginning of March and it lasted for a week. Yesterday, I got some brown stuff when I wiped after peeing but there was nothing but my wee in the toilet. The next day (today) I went to the toilet and I got a lot of dark brown substance in the toilet when I peed and when I looked at my underwear, I saw that my period pad had a lot of blood. I heard that Brown discharge is a sign of pregnancy? Also, do you get periods when your pregnant?

Answer
You're not pregnant!

You may have rubbed your cervix with the q tip which has broken a few blood vessels causing the bleeding or its your period

Q. Other than intercourse, what are some tips to help get pregnant?
What dates are best and how do I know?
-Hi Mistress, I am 25 =)
-To the lady who is having a girl named makenna that is interesting I have a friend whose daughter named her girl the same but spelled McKenna.
-Thanks for the answers everyone =)

Answer
Well you figured out the most important part already (:

Some other tips are:

- Know your most fertile days. You can work this out with free ovulation calculators online. Try this one: http://www.ovulation-calculator.org/
- Missionary position. Although there aren't any definitive studies to support this, lots of couples do find this position works best.
- Quit smoking, drinking and drugs. These all can greatly diminish your fertility and chances of getting pregnant.
- Become a healthy weight. Women that are overweight or underweight will both experience difficulties when trying to get pregnant, and more importantly, when you do become pregnant, the baby will be more healthy for it.
- Make the best of your man. Well you don't want all his best swimmers flushing down the toilet, do you? No masturbation mister! Also, make sure to save his sperm for when you're most fertile, otherwise his sperm count will be drastically reduced. Make absolutely sure that he's preserving his sperm for the times when your fertility is at its peak. And when you do have sex, be sexy! The more aroused he is, the more sperm he'll ejaculate, which will obviously increase your chances of conception.

All these tips should definitely go a long way towards helping you and your partner to conceive.

Also, have you decided what you'd like the sex to be? Little known fact: male sperm are weaker but swim faster, whereas female sperm are stronger but swim slower. How can we use this? Well, if you get him to ejaculate deep inside of you then you're more likely to have a boy, whereas if the tip of his penis head is barely in when he ejaculates then you're more likely to have a girl. This has been proven scientifically.

Hopefully I've helped. Good luck with getting pregnant - and raising it, because trust me, that's the hardest part! ^_^

what are some tips to becoming a mommy?

i want a kid , well im not sure to tell you the truth if i am pregnant now or not..
but what are the best tips to getting pregnant? like can you tell me how often me and my man should have sex to have a good outcome ?

Answer
Some couples can make a baby on the first try, and some may go months or years for a baby. If you truly want a baby and are ready to be parents, then go for it. Best thing to do is relax and enjoy each other as a couple! (the best part!) When it is time for you to conceive, you will. Good luck!
