Odd baby movements?

Q. Im due with my first in 1 week and over the past few days she has been moveing differently. She has been almost jerking up, then settling down. Its almost like really bad hiccups, but its been going on too long for that. Im not sure whter it's just because of the lack of room inside or what. Its odd, its probably nothing, but with this being my first, I want to make sure there is nothing wrong with my little girl!

Answer
I had my first baby 7 months ago and in the end i got the same problem. every time something different happened i panicked especially this because it felt so uncomfortable and i worried that baby was ok in there.
I went to my local antenatal clinic and the gave me a scan and all it was was my little girl moving head down into her position for birth which means her feet are now at the top of your belly.
I know it feels different but just think in less than a fortnight say you will have that lovely baby girl in your arms and that is the best gift in the world.
Good luck with everything and enjoy.

Question about baby movement (27 weeks)?

yayaya

I'm 27w1d. For the past couple of days my baby's movements have been faint/light and not as often. I still definitely feel her move every day, but they aren't the hard movements that shake my belly. They're really light and feel more like a shift in position than a kick. I've also felt her press her bottom right near my belly button. Is it normal for babies to have some days of strong kicks followed by a few days of light movement? I definitely am feeling her move, but should I be worried that the movements aren't strong?

Answer
Don't worry, as the following shows, you should expect this at this stage of pregnacy:

From 20 to 24 Weeks
While the weeks pass, you will feel that your baby has become more active with an increase in its activity. From this time and further in the upcoming ten weeks, the baby will remain busy, amidst lots of kicking and tumbling.

From 24 to 28 Weeks
Hiccups could be another activity done by your baby and you may seldom feel the jerking movement. At this time, the amniotic sac contains up to 750 ml of fluid that allows free moves to the baby. Also you might notice him jumping at sudden sounds during this phase.

At 29 Weeks
Since the baby gets more confined within the uterus, it starts making smaller but more definite movements.

At 32 Weeks
Is the high time for the babyâs active movements and hereafter, you will observe enhanced frequency and movements, seeing that the baby is getting bigger and stronger.

From Around 36 Weeks
Now, the baby would begin taking his final position, generally head-down. In case it is your first pregnancy, the firm muscles of your uterus and abdomen would make his comfortable pillow. Jabs from his arms and legs are the main movements likely to be felt at this time. If it is a case of subsequent pregnancy, then it is probable that your abdominal muscles are weaker and due to this, the baby might keep on changing his position and possibly until the due date.

From 36 to 40 Weeks
The baby would be becoming larger, while his upturning movements will get down. The fetal movements are probable to decelerate and a little decline in the growth rate of baby in the last two weeks of pregnancy. Donât worry as it is absolutely normal.
