In January, I got a guinea pig from a pet store (she was 8 weeks old). We found out that she was pregnant, and she gave birth to three guinea pigs exactly one month ago. We have already separated the male baby. We cannot keep the babies, so we are giving the babies to a few of our friends. When is it OK to separate the babies from the mother?

Answer
I think its when the babies are 2 months old.

Why do you have to separate the female rabbit from the male?

We got some rabbits and we didn't know she was pregnant, so we never separated her from the male. The babies came out dead, small and red with blood. Did this happen because I didn't separate them?

Answer
the male may have stressed her so they came out stillborn..im sorry that happened
